Cole Wieland is a founding partner of Crisis Ready Group as well as a professional firefighter with 15+ years of experience. He has broad expertise in prevention/mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Cole draws on his demonstrated history of frontline field experience to bring a unique perspective to risk reduction and emergency planning. He is actively involved in creating a new regional all-hazard disaster response model to ensure continuity of operations among 6 fire departments and other emergency response agencies. Previously, he served as the Treasurer for an International Association of Fire Fighters Local, as well as an Executive Board Member on multiple union committees.
Growing up in earthquake-prone Southern California, Cole saw firsthand how communities are affected by disasters and became committed to a career in public safety. His current focus is on helping local businesses and organizations prepare for potential crises by developing action-focused risk management plans.
Cole holds an MS in Crisis and Emergency Management from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a BA in Geography from University of California, Santa Barbara. He is a member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
